DÉBUT is dedicated to the moment of the first encounter and celebrates the format of the dance solo. Four dancers face the audience as soloists. By this their respective intimacy meets the public sphere, so that the solo status is called into question. Four choreographic portraits emerge from the relation of the dancers with the social microcosm audience. DÉBUT is the first part of a trilogy that questions the medium of dance for its moments of encounter: Solo, Pas de Deux and Corps de Ballet are choreographed and conceived from the point of view of the encounter - that is the narrative of Jenny Beyer's next trilogy.
